Gift of Gab

When I thought of blogging today, the first theme that occurred to me was exams…since that is the flavour of the season!

The next thing I did was to google on exam related stress only to get an infinite number of search results advising the reader on myriad facets of my chosen theme. The articles ran from how to recognize that you are going overboard with stress (mini-doctors that we all are!), ways to avoid stress (from, dare I say, injectable thoughts to yogic breathing techniques), methods to manage studies, ways to answer questions, lists of edibles and non- edibles during exams, and so on and so forth.
I found some sites that even gave wonderfully humourous and, mostly, satirical poems on exams!

Now, that the entire panorama of my chosen theme was already plentifully plundered, I wondered what to write about?!!

Then again in a fleeting moment, I realized that there was something amiss…amidst all that had come up …there was hardly any mention of the therapeutic value of conversation.

TALK…Please talk right through your preparations or the lack of it!
TALK…Let your family (or some elder or someone close who himself or herself is not in exam- mode) in on what you are thinking about.
TALK…Do not be embarrassed to state exactly how and/or what you feel or think (remember: we are all human and our thoughts and feelings are what make us so.)
TALK…Voice your confidence (the universe may just conspire to make it true!)
TALK…Voice your fears (your confidante might just guide you through!)
TALK… When you do so, you may realize quite how intelligent you are, or contrarily just how unfounded all your assumptions were!
TALK… As it keeps you grounded in more ways than one,

So do make space in your exam routine to speak to your mom, dad, sister, brother, cousin, or counselor, and vent yourself as much as your routine allows.
